Romeo was a puppy-mill rescue, adopted at 8 weeks old. After the vet gave the OK on his health and vaccinations, I immediately started to socialize him and teach him the basics of good manners. We had fun! Romeo was excited to see what his next reward was and I was excited to see him achieve his next accomplishment. Romeo and I have volunteered with West Michigan Therapy Dogs (AAA/AAT) where we achieved certification in 2006. I’m also certified through The American Kennel Club (AKC), Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and the Delta Society Pet Partners. With his calm and kind demeanor, he helps to put everyone at ease no matter what their age.
Our dog, Izzy, came to us through Safe Haven Humane Society adoption services, with her vibrant, tail always wagging personality we couldn’t resist but to adopt her. Izzy was 2 years old and had zero manners when we adopted her in Feb. 2008, and has since learned the basics of good behavior. She also has received her certificate in therapy work through West Michigan Therapy Dogs (Oct. 2008), the American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certificate, as well as the Delta Society Pet Partners too. With her sassy fun personality, Izzy is the “life of the party!”
